The Lucaro community is a place where data professionals come together to learn, share, and help each other succeed. We value:
- Inclusivity: Everyone is welcome regardless of experience level, background, or role
- Helpfulness: We lift each other up and share knowledge generously
- Respect: We treat each other with kindness and professionalism
- Curiosity: We encourage questions and learning
Expected Behavior
- Be welcoming and inclusive to newcomers
- Use clear, professional language
- Give constructive feedback when asked
- Respect differing opinions and approaches
- Credit others for their ideas and contributions
- Search before asking - your question may already be answered
- Stay on topic in channels and threads
- Report issues to moderators rather than engaging directly
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind
- Personal attacks or insults
- Sharing others' private information without consent
- Spam, self-promotion, or unsolicited advertising
- Posting malicious code or security exploits
- Impersonating Lucaro staff or other community members
- Any illegal activity
Asking Good Questions
Help us help you by providing context when asking questions:
- Describe what you are trying to accomplish
- Share what you have already tried
- Include relevant error messages or screenshots
- Specify your environment (database type, Lucaro version, etc.)
- Use code formatting for SQL, JSON, or configuration snippets
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: A private message from moderators
- Temporary mute: Temporary restriction from posting
- Ban: Permanent removal from community spaces
Decisions are made at the discretion of community moderators and Lucaro staff.
Reporting Issues
If you experience or witness behavior that violates these guidelines:
- In Discord: Use the report feature or DM a moderator
- In GitHub: Use the report feature on the comment or issue
- By email: Contact community@lucaro.dev
